The purpose of this blog is to highlight some of the creations that I have been working on in Second Life. Many of the wonderful objects (that I have seen in-world), crafted by talented builders have moved me enough to start making my own.

It started out as a bit of fun – just learning how to manipulate prims to create almost any conceivable item. But then I thought about making things for other people. And that’s how I came up with the idea of Pointless Prims.

I like details. Details add depth to a sometimes soulless Second Life. By this I mean that occasionally, one stumbles across a beautifully designed structure, be it a house, store or even an entire sim.

What sets these places apart is the varying level of detail that is incorporated into the build. Things that make a place look lived in as opposed to feeling like a minimalist showroom. Things that give it character…

I didn’t arrive at this juncture by myself. I was inspired and helped by friends who are talented builders and designers. It was they who inspired to make more of my Second Life and give something back.
